Sunrise Pay is the quickest way to get paid on your invoices. Once you sign up with a free user account, you’ll have access to add new payment methods. Sunrise Pay includes credit and debit cards and bank transfers. You’ll be able to add Check and Cash as alternative methods. Payment options like Square and Stripe are available with upgraded packages. Let’s dive into how to add a payment method in Sunrise.
Step 1: Click the Settings tab at the bottom of the navigation bar.
Step 2: Select Payment methods.
Step 3: Click the green button labeled Add payment method in the top right corner.
Step 4: Select the down arrow on the pop-up screen and choose your desired payment method.
Important note: Double-check your work by identifying your new payment method on the Payment Method page. If a grey Default icon is displaying next to the payment method, then it will appear as an option on all invoices.
Sunrise Pay (Bank Transfer or Credit and Debit Cards)
Step 1: You will be directed to the Add payment pop-up.
- The Type field will display but not be editable.
- You have the option to change the Name field.
- You can choose to enable this payment type as default on new invoices.
Step 2: Select the account where the payments will be deposited until they’re transferred into your bank account.
Step 3: Click the Save button.
Note: Bank transfers and credit/debit cards will automatically be added to the Sunrise Pay account. If you’d like to choose a different account, select the dropdown arrow.

Note: Double-check that you’ve created a Sunrise Pay merchant account
to start receiving funds. This setup typically takes less than 5 minutes.
Check or Cash
The process for adding a Check or Cash payment method is basically the same, with a slight variation.
Step 1: Once you’ve selected Check or Cash, you’ll have a chance to add your payment instructions for your customers.
- Try to be as specific as possible so your customers don’t get confused.
- Click Save when finished.
