Accepting Payment: Scanning Credit Cards & Accepting Payments on the Sunrise App

One of the most useful aspects of the Sunrise mobile app is the ability to use your camera to scan credit cards and accept them as payment for your invoices. This ability allows your business to accept payments on-the-go, making it convenient for both you and your customers.


To get started using the Sunrise App to scan credit card payments, you’ll need to have How do I use Sunrise Pay to accept credit cards and ACH payment?, an easy and secure way to accept credit cards and ACH bank transfers for your business’ invoices

To accept payment on an invoice, tab Invoices and tap on any unpaid or draft invoice in your invoice list.



From within the invoice, tap Accept Payment.


A menu will pop up that includes Cash/Check or Credit Card. Choose Credit Card.


If you haven’t already enabled credit cards as a payment method in your Sunrise account, you will be prompted here to do so. Simply tap Yes.



Next, your camera will open and you will be able to take a picture of your customer’s credit card. You can also type in the credit card details.


Once you accept the payment, the invoice has been paid!


You can also send your customers their invoice by text, email, or via the Customer Portal. From here, they can choose from the available payment methods, including the scanning of their credit card.
